EXEMPLARS: A Practical, Extensible Framework For Dynamic Text Generation
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper, we present EXEMPLARS, an object-oriented, rule-based framework designed to support practical, dynamic text generation, emphasizing its novel features compared to .existing hybrid systems that mix template-style and more sophisticated techniques. These features-.include an extensible classification-based text planning mechanism, a definition language that is a superset of the Java language, and advanced support for HTMIdSGML templates.

A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO REAL-TIME DYNAMIC BACKGROUND GENERATION BASED ON A TEMPORAL MEDIAN FILTER
In many computer vision applications, segmenting and extraction of moving objects in video sequences is an essential task. Background subtraction, by which each input image is subtracted from the reference image, has often been used for this purpose. In this paper, we offer a novel background-subtraction technique for real-time dynamic background generation using color images that are taken fro...
متن کاملCHULA TTS: A Modularized Text-To-Speech Framework
Spoken and written languages evolve constantly through their everyday usages. Combining with practical expectation for automatically generating synthetic speech suitable for various domains of context, such a reason makes Text-to-Speech (TTS) systems of living languages require characteristics that allow extensible handlers for new language phenomena or customized to the nature of the domains i...
متن کاملAn Overview of Shallow Xml-based Natural Language Generation
The paper gives an overview of shallow XML-based natural language generation, including XML pipeline architectures, text planning with XSLT templates, and transformations from text plan trees to text specification trees. The work is based on practical experience in a spoken dialogue system, and examples from this system are presented.
متن کاملAn Open Service Framework for Next Generation Localisation
The localisation industry makes strong use of language processing pipelines at the core of its bulk localisation workflows, where software text and technical manuals are translated into the languages of target markets. Natural language technologies such as machine translation and text analytics are now maturing to a stage where they are being adopted as components in these workflows. However, t...
متن کاملProspects of encoding Java source code in XML
Currently, the only standard format for representing Java source code is plain text-based. This paper explores the prospects of using Extensible Markup Language (XML) for this purpose. XML enables the leverage of tools and standards more powerful than those available for plain-text formats, while retaining broad accessibility. The paper outlines the potential benefits of future XML grammars tha...
